BMW remapping.

N47, B47, N20, B48, N55 & B58 — diesel torque and petrol punch, mapped on your driveway.

Tuning your BMW

BMW leaves a genuinely generous margin in its factory calibrations, which is why a Stage 1 remap transforms almost every modern BMW. The B47/N47 diesels pull like the next engine up the range, the B48/N20 petrols wake up sharply, and the straight-six N55/B58 are among the most rewarding platforms we tune. Every BMW map is written to the exact chassis, engine and ECU, matched to the ZF 8-speed auto where fitted, and verified on a logged road test.

BMW models we tune

We regularly tune the 116d/118d/120d, 316d/318d/320d/330d, 520d/530d, X1/X3/X5 diesels, the 125i/128ti/135i and M135i/M140i, the 230i/330i/430i B48 petrols, and the M2/M3/M4 S55 & S58. Both OBD and bench/boot-mode reads are supported depending on the ECU — we confirm before booking.

Don't see your exact model below? It's almost certainly still a job we do — send your registration on WhatsApp and we'll confirm the stock figures, realistic Stage 1 gains and a fixed price, then bring the tune to your driveway anywhere across the East Midlands.

Stage 1 or Stage 2 for your BMW?

For a standard BMW, Stage 1 is almost always the right choice — it's written for your factory hardware and gives the best balance of gain, reliability and cost, with no parts to buy. Stage 2 only makes sense once you've fitted a downpipe, a sports cat, an uprated intercooler or an induction kit, because the file is written to exploit that extra airflow. We'll tell you honestly which suits your car and your goals; if you upgrade later, the Stage 1 price is credited against Stage 2. Either way the map is bespoke to your exact engine, never a generic flash.

What every BMW remap includes

Every job starts with a full OBD health check and a live-data baseline log, so we only ever tune a car that's fit to be tuned. We then read and archive your original ECU file to two places, write the VIN-specific calibration, and verify it on a logged road test on your local roads — watching boost, fuelling, timing and temperatures in real time. You get a before/after summary, a 30-day peace-of-mind warranty and your original file kept safe for a return to factory any time. It's all fully mobile, with a fixed price agreed from your registration before we book, and no call-out charge across our East Midlands service area.

Featured BMW builds

Diesel · 2015–2019 (F30 / F31 LCI)

BMW 320d

190 → 230 bhp · 400 → 460 Nm
Stage 1 £300 – £350

The B47 320d is one of the most rewarding diesels we tune. BMW leaves a generous margin in the factory map, and a Stage 1 fills in the mid-range completely — the car pulls from 1,500 rpm like a 330d and the 8-speed auto feels far more decisive once the TCU is matched.

Petrol · 2016–2019 (F20 / F21) · also M240i

BMW M140i

340 → 420 bhp · 500 → 600 Nm
Stage 1 £375 – £450

The B58 M140i is one of the biggest Stage 1 gainers we tune — the engine is massively under-stressed from the factory and a software-only calibration adds around 80 bhp and 100 Nm. With the ZF 8HP TCU matched, it's a genuine M2 rival on the A6 and A52.

BMW remapping · FAQ

Is a BMW remap safe for the ZF 8-speed gearbox?

Yes — the ZF 8HP comfortably handles the extra torque. We recommend the matching TCU calibration so shift points, torque limits and kickdown suit the new engine map.

Do you need to remove the BMW ECU?

Many BMW ECUs read and write over OBD on your driveway. Some later MD1/MG1 units need a bench or boot-mode read — still done mobile, we just tell you in advance.

How much does a BMW remap cost?

Stage 1 is typically £300–£350 for the diesels and from £350 for the six-cylinder petrols. Send your reg for a fixed, model-specific quote.
